It is a short course that takes 6 to 12 weeks or longer that costs $ 400 to $ 1000. This could be much for you but you could get a free training. There are institutions that offer CNA programs for free in the condition that you will work for them for a certain period of time after you get your CNA certification.

If you are currently working, you can ask your employer if they are providing training for their staffs because usually if your performance is good, they are willing to spend money for their best employees.

After you have dealt with the CNA training fee, you have to decide where to take it. Would it be online or on-campus university? Whichever you choose, you need to meet the school’s standard such as no criminal records, must pass the Comprehension exam, and physically and mentally fit. Being fit may include not being pregnant for it requires physical effort.

Before deciding to enroll in this course, make sure that you are ready in every aspect – be it physical, mental, emotional, or financial. Also, it is important to understand the responsibilities of a nurse aide such as answering to all patients’ needs and reporting all of the information that has been observed from the patients.

If you are already employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant, the pay is $ 10 to $ 15 or higher plus you could get additional benefits such as medical, dental, and/ or retirement assistance.

Once you have completed the program, took the exam, and passed it, you should now be prepared to face the real world. There is no turning back or else, you will start from scratch again.
